This is a long shot. I'm trying to trace my two half sisters. Details are a bit sketchy and any help would be much appreciated. My sister's name was Pauline. She got married to a Robert MacDonald Norris in Uphall.

So, I'm guessing they had ties to the Uphall/West Lothian area. Our mums name was Agnes who had another daughter called Gail, who may have changed her name to Samantha.

I know there is not much details, but any help, or a point in the right direction would be much appreciated.

I am looking to see if anyone has old photographs of Broxburn Public Band from the 1930's . I am looking for photographs of my late uncle Alexander (Alex) Mutter who was in the band at that time. Alex's name is featured on the rememberance plaque in Uphall North Church which records the names of those who died in the two great wars.

My family came from pumpherston, my father was Frank he had brothers Robert, Willie, George , Davie and a sister Catherine who married Arthur Miller. Anyone got any info

I was born in Uphall in '49 next door to Tammy Johnsons. Father Alex married Jean(Jane)Douglas/Mclean. Maternal grandmother, Catherine Gordon, married Hugh Douglas from Armadale but have found he only died in '77 yet I was told he had died long before I was born! Would love to know from anyone who can tell me about this lost grandfather and what happened to cause the rift?

Loved the site, my mother was born in Uphall Station (Peggy Welsh), she said she walked from Uphall Station to School in Uphall, this must have been in the late 1920 or early 1930's. At lunchtime she would go to her aunt Euphemia's in Ecclesmachan road.

Hi Everyone - absolutely excellent site discovered whilst researching a Uphall family. Hope someone out there can help me to help a friend.

I am looking to find Catherine Docherty who was married to J Dale. She was born in Bathgate about 1941 and so she would be about 70 years old. She moved away but returned in the late 60's. I am endeavouring to locate relatives of the men who served on HMS Martin which was torpedoed and sunk 10th November 1942 with the loss of 159 of her 222 crew.

Leading Stoker James Murray Paris son of Thomas and Elizabeth Paris of Broxburn, West Lothian was one of the casualties.
